It has a natural and silky glance and feels really soft on ones skin.
Pima cotton is still plucked by hand in Peru to avoid damage of the strand which could happen by mechanical work.
Normally the cotton is also ecologically compatible.
Pima cotton, also known as westindiean cotton, got its roots in south America.
Its name goes back to an Indian clan, under whos collaboration the breeding of a plant called Gossypium barbadense succeeded.
The cotton belongs, with a strandlength of 31,25 up to 39,06mm, to one of the world wide finest cotton species, also known as Extra-Long-Staple (ELS)
Pima cotton is used for high quality products to higher their last and wear resistance.
